Letizia De Rosa is a first generation born Italo-Australian, only daughter to a Neapolitan father and Sicilian mother who met in Australia in 1952. Letizia has a major in languages from JCU Townsville and completed a Masters in Education. She has worked in business and as a teacher in Cairns and Sydney and enjoys being involved in various community projects benefits which benefit youth and people with a disability.
Letizia loves travelling, reading and discovering new talents. Her writing career began with poetry, maxims and a text for teaching non-English speaking students. Three years ago she began documenting her father's story and today has made his dream come true in writing Antonino's Niche– a tribute not only to her father, but also, to the culture she loves dearly – the Italian culture.

Letizia is currently promoting her second book Conversations with My Mother throughout Australia. She is releasing Oh My God, I Might Have to Smile end of 2007 whilst working on her next manuscript Conversations with The Heart.

Her aim in life is to bring people of various cultures, backgrounds and abilities to a greater understanding that:

"Life is a gift which only the brave know how to live
and only the truly great ever appreciate."
